DreamWorks Animation Beats 3Q Profit Predictions, But Revenues Are Unsuccessful

The organization ended the quarter with net gain of $19.7M, lower 50.6% versus exactly the same period this past year, on revenues of $160.8M, lower 14.9%. Earnings at 23 cents a share were slightly in front of the 22 cents that experts expected. They also predicted that DreamWorks would generate $163M in revenues. “DreamWorks Animation’s financial results often fluctuate because of, among additional factors, the timing in our feature film releases and the amount of our films in a given year,” Leader Lew Coleman states. “This may be the situation within the third quarter of 2011, simply because our financial results reflect the timing from the worldwide theatrical discharge of Kung Fu Panda 2 this season in comparison to Shrek Forever After this year.”
